First attempt at HDR - Please magnify to better see the results
Okay... thought I'd keep it simple and just give it a go. Wanted to see what HDR would do with the "fire" in the colors of the fall crepe myrtle leaves. Used only 2 exposures and got the last result. Nothing else was done to it - just used the default settings on HDR Pro in Photoshop. Not bad! Thank you 365ers for making me stretch my abilities here!
@princesicita Thank you, Princess! It really deepened the color!
@rhondatipton Maybe I'll try it on something else the next time, Rhonda. Some folks get such a gorgeous effect and their photos look like a Thomas Kinkade painting. I'd to get one result like that. Thank you for your comments!
@nickk It's probably good to use sometimes, Nick. But "all the time"? Nah! It can't make up for a really good photo to begin with! But, then I'm mainly a "purest" when it comes to that. I think it depends on the use of the photo, it's purpose, etc. HDR can add or detract from a good photo. Like Peter said above, it's a matter of taste/opinion.
@wellington LOL! I was in the same boat, Amy! I Googled it, started reading... then I realized I had it with my Photoshop. So I just started experimenting with it. It requires bracketed exposures to make it work but, it's not too hard. Thank you for the compliment!
