@cdonohoue Got to be good for something! Thank you so much, Cathy!
@espyetta This was taken on 7/19, MaryBeth. It was 85 here today with a humidity level of 94 percent. Stand outside 5 minutes and you're covered in a layer of sweat. Not good for digital cameras and their senors, I found out. Thank you for your lovely comments and visit! Most appreciated!
@deburahiru Thank you, Deb! That's exactly what I thought when I saw it!
i like the way you've framed this with the trees. Why did i think you were from Texas? north or south carolina? my husband and i are taking a little vacation in Sept and we are thinking about spending some time in the Asheville area.
@paulaag Thank you, Paula! Maybe you thought I was from Texas because I love all things western? If so, that's a compliment. I'm in South Carolina. Asheville is in the beautiful Smoky Mountains - my mother's hometown is nearby Canton. It would be a nice vacation!
@cromwell LOL! Thanks, Cromwell! Of course, it's always Willie's voice that hear singing that song. I did and I thought I commented about it on one of your pics. Was not what I was expecting. Was really different, but pending the results of my drug test and background check, I should get an email to report for orientation within one to three weeks. I'm not celebrating until I get that email. =)
@cimes1 You are so sweet, Carole! Thank you so much for your support, comments and favs!
@marlboromaam Really, through October? I could not handle hot weather for that long. It has cooled off at 10pm and we have a whole house fan and open the windows and sliding doors and turn it on. It pulls the cooler air in from outside and cool off our house so we do not have to use our A/C. So far this year we have had mostly cool nights and mornings so this has been a life saver. Hope you stay nice and cool as you can.
@darsphotos I stay in the AC as much as possible only doing what I have to do outside as it can get done. Yes, this is the southeastern US. Hot and humid May through the first of October and sometimes through to November. It's only cold here part of November through February. It starts to warm up in March and the temps increase in April by June we're into the high 90s.
@marlboromaam Wow, it is worse there than Texas where I have friends and family and it varies in various parts of Texas. I sure do not envy you and you have to have AC to get through that. The cost of AC is so high here. If we had one year like you have we would have to walk away from our house as we could not afford it. I cannot deal with the humidity you are talking about though sometimes I wish we had a bit as maybe it would help with this horrible dry eye problem I am having. The pain and the blurriness drive me crazy, well almost. We are in the high 80's now which is so much better than what it was. Our house fan got it to 71 this morning. Wish I could send you some cooler weather.
