Sometimes, it's good to get back to basics when shots get too cluttered and any message the photographer may want to convey is completely missed by the viewer. If you had to say, in just one word, what this photo speaks to you, what would it be? Leaf ride, sorry that's two. I am with Janet, the leaf looks similar to the bottom of a boat & your shadow is enjoying the ride. Lovely abstract & use of light

Freedom and independence. From what I see, this is a fledgling about to fly away from the nest. Mama bird has her back turned. Knowing she's about to lose her baby, she doesn't want to look but knows it's the right thing to do.
