My 28th wildflower find of spring... by marlboromaam

My 28th wildflower find of spring...

Tephrosia spicata - commonly known as Spiked Hoary-pea, Brown-hair Tephrosia, or Tawny Goat's Rue. Native to the Carolinas and Georgia. The blooms start out white, turn pink when they open, and close up blood red. More info on this little fascinator here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=1490
