NOT taken in Blue Rapids at the Ice Age monument (see photos from the weekend following). This first attempt of mine at white on white for @summerfield 's challenge to me has a very blue cast -- probably from the iPod set on the flashlight app underneath in a plastic bag.
I kind of liked the blue though, despite it's failure as white on white. I could have just completely de-saturated it -- turn it to black and white like I did with the polar bear -- that one had a yellowish cast despite the bear and background indeed being white. I thought I'd set the white balance for the incandescent lights but still didn't get white. So I cheated it and turned it more white with post processing.
@mcsiegle - it isn't but it makes for a lovely abstract. i think the colouring has to do with the white balance set up of the camera.i rather think it can be manipulated but i don't know this camera for sure.
