My tags for the tag challenge were "old" and "art." This is a miniature portrait on a chain. I have no idea who the woman is. It is not a family heirloom. My mother said her father's parents bought a number of things from an elderly neighbor couple, who needed the money. I don't know if it had any family significance for them. It's old and it's art, anyway. An interesting thing about it which you can't see is that inside, under the portrait mounted on paper, there is an image of the Madonna and Child done in fabric. I was just able to decipher enough of the Cyrillic inscription to figure out that it is from the Pochayiv (one of various spellings) Lavra, a monastery in Western Ukraine. There is a holy icon there, which is what is pictured on the cloth. I've taken a picture of it previously, which I'll put up in my Alternates album later. (I don't have time now, but wanted to get this posted to satisfy the tag challenge.)

Hello Get Pushed partner. I notice a lot of your pictures are detailed close ups, I'm challenging you to to a picture of a whole building. The bigger the building, the better.
