I thought it sounded like a wonderful photo opportunity, but decided to do my usual grocery shopping with Mom first and then walk down to the stadium where it began and ended. By the time I got there about 11:30 the event was all finished and there were just a few people packing up and cleaning. In retrospect I should have rearranged the grocery shopping to the afternoon and gone to the stadium first thing in the morning. According to one young woman I spoke to, they had about 4,000 or so people total. Each group they let go at a time was 300 people.
Oh, well...I can't complain. I took some pictures of what I saw and had a wonderful leisurely walk back up to Mom's house, taking photos all along the way. Here are barrels of leftover color powder. There's another photo posted here of men sweeping up: http://365project.org/mcsiegle/365/2014-09-13
