April @aecasey, my get pushed partner, said "I remember you were using your iPod. I see you now have a Coolpix. For this week I'd like you to try and get a silhouette with the Coolpix."
I headed over to the cemetery the other night, intending to get something to give April. Aaaargh! When I got there, I found that the camera battery was completely depleted. It happened the day before and I totally forgot about recharging it. I wish to high heaven I could find the spare I bought at the same time as the camera. So this was taken with the iPod -- but not my old one. That one is terminally ill. This is a new one I got a few weeks ago. Back to the photo. After taking a number of shots toward the sinking sun, I aimed the camera upward toward the moon with this branch silhouetted against the darkening sky. This is SOOC but it's definitely a candidate for future editing next Halloween.
Very nice silhouettes! How nice that you have a new iPod. I think it's great that you can use it for photos. I would really like to get an iPhone and try photographing with it, but my old Motorola just refuses to die.
