At work there is a male cardinal that day-after-day, weather permitting, perches on the tree just outside the stairwell in Eisenhower Hall. He repeatedly flies at the window, hitting it again and again, and keeps coming back for more. I tried to get a good picture of him in the act, but this (in the middle panel) is the best I got. Since the quality of the photo was poor, I decided to play with the “Painnt” app that my son was demonstrating for me. He has it on his Android phone, and I discovered it’s available for iOS so I downloaded it onto my iPod and made a whole lot of versions of the cardinal shot. In my Alternates album I’ve posted a shot of the bird in between bouts of flying itself at the window.
fabulous photo Poor baby! Place a piece of black construction paper cut out to look like a bird of prey on the window and see if that doesn't keep him from flying at the window
Hi partner! This week your challenge is to make a diptych or triptych in the style of David Hilliard. Some of his work can be seen here: http://www.davidhilliard.com/The_Tale_is_True.html
Hope that works. If not, let me know and I'll set another challenge.
