I had to give my get pushed partner, April @aecasey a rain check as I really hadn’t made the time to properly play with silverware as she had requested. But I hated to post nothing, as I had only put up one other photo this week. So I hastily assembled the cheap but perfect and unscratched spoons I had bought some time ago for the express purpose of photography. And I forced them to pose on the keyboard of the iPad case as a sort of “rain check” with promise of more creative play later. The title I’ve given this is not entirely true, but a contrast to the first (and only other) time I used them right after purchasing them. In that instance they jumped right in before I had even properly unwrapped them. I told them not to necessarily expect the same colorful background we had here. I’d put it up only to compensate for the lack of an interesting arrangement. When we get around to a proper photo shoot we may or may not use color. Maybe a plain black background. Who knows? I don’t have time to properly plan that out. If I did, I’d just shoot it and be done with it, for heaven sakes!! Oh, shucks! I’m raising my voice to a shrill pitch, aren’t I? Partly I was dismayed to see I didn’t have forks — just two sizes of spoons. Not their fault...
See my Alternates album. Sigh. That IS their fault. And now I have to post this quick before it turns midnight, and then I need to go to bed. First thing tomorrow I need to give my next week’s partner a challenge. If I don’t, would someone remind me, please?
I understand how demanding photography can be and how it can slip to the side when life gets in the way. I gave up the challenges for awhile because I just couldn't get to them. Wish I had kept them up because they often pushed me to shoot what I wouldn't normally do.
@randystreat
We would love to get you back on board with this challenge - it's a great one and it really keeps you connected to others! @mcsiegle Mary - have you issued your challenge? LOL!
@farmreporter yes I issued the challenge, but not until I was starting to bed on Monday and realized I had not yet actually posted the challenge I had started to give her. Sigh.
Hello Mary! How are you?? We're partnered together this week.
How about a four cornered composition?? Each corner of your photo must be touching a different element of your scene ( sky, roof, door, road for example) this SHOULD be done in frame, but can be editted if you find that easier. Have fun
I had a go at this after I set you the challenge, really made me concentrate
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks. It will truly be a challenge. Yesterday afternoon, after I read this I gave it a quick experimental try with very unsatisfactory results. As you say, it will make me concentrate and take my time to think it through.

I can certainly relate to that! I am also fretting with time - wish I could have more time to comment like I want to.

Thank you for your challenge, that's going to be a hard one, years since I was 10!!
