Mt Gambier is located on the slopes of a dormant volcano. It is known for its beautiful crater lakes and sinkhole gardens.
We have decided to spend Easter in the small town of Millicent, about 50kms west of Mt Gambier. There was space available in the caravan park for the Easter break. From here we will do day trips into the surrounding area.
@merrelyn Oh they are all great!!! Definitely get to Wynns because the building is just fabulous - lots of beautiful photo opportunities. Majella wines, Balnaves, Parkers, make sure you get to Katnook..........Brands Winery is great too. And if you like more of an Italian style - get to Zema There is only about 26 real Coonawarra wineries (due to the soil) and there isn't a bad one!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!
So pleased it is still blue :) And the sunken gardens are amazing too! As for the wineries - well Sam @gigiflower hasn't left one out :) Have a happy Easter over there!
@gilbertwood thanks Denise. I would have loved to have seen the Umpherston Suken garden at its peak. The beds of hydrangea still looked pretty, but most of the colour had finished. Hope you have a lovely Easter too. 😀
