This Spicebush Swallowtail was the only swallowtail around - last year in this spot, there were better than 50. Wonder what is going on this year?

Beautiful shot Milanie! I was wondering the same. Down here in Georgia, I haven't seen 1 skipper and only saw a couple of butterflies in the spring. Now - nothing! It's nice to see on in your shot.

It is beautiful...and so nice and fresh. Butterflies are scarcer here too...haven't seen a monarch yet and only a few swallowtails (tiger)!
