Even with all the hints of the markings I still don't know what kind of a sparrow this is? Can anyone identify him for me? Cute little guy.

It could be an English sparrow or house sparrow, but I can't say for sure. Really good capture of him.

This is a male House Sparrow. I've not heard of an English Sparrow and doing google research just brings up House Sparrow.

I agree on the house sparrow ID. Nice images of both sides of the bird. I find their loud cheeps very annoying, and they are abundant and can live anywhere.

Handsome fellow. He looks very much like the House Sparrows that frequent my yard. His rusty red areas tho are quite a bit brighter than most I've seen. Lucky him, I guess — he's really blessed! Nicely presented, the two views.
