Yellow Beauty by milaniet

Yellow Beauty

This was in the Children's Garden at the lodge where we stayed last night. They mark the names on rocks in front of the different plants - this was marked "Columbine" but I sure didn't remember columbine looking like this. Whatever it is, the color was beautiful.
It immediately made me think of lemon meringue

The yellow is beautiful, especially with the light on it. I think it is a type of Columbine. I posted one April 20, but mine doesn't seem to have this many petals.

@genealogygenie I went back to look at your columbine - absolutely gorgeous. Did see when I googled that they did grow in many colors. Thanks for your input.

Sure looks like columbine to me - those pointy little petals are the tell-tale sign. Lovely detail. Can't wait for mine to open :)

Wow! What a splendid color of yellow this flower has. The back portion resembles columbine but I've never seen one with so many petals like this one has. Beautiful none the less!
