Can't pass up a swallowtail - even if its tails are missing - along with a few other spots. His bright yellow is so easy to spot in the backyard - just doesn't stop around often enough.
Are you drugging them so they sit still for you? I'm always having a hard time to take their picture but you don't seem to have that problem. What's your secret? It's a lovely picture and I love everything about it... FAV
@skskunky Definitely easier on days when there's no wind - have found that the yellow guys will stay still more often than the black swallowtails - that and a jillion shots. They do seem to like this butterfly bush I planted last year to attract them. Have that in a pot in the back yard - easy to see when it has a visitor. That and a lot of luck???
Oh yes, it is certainly doing it's job!!! What a beauty!! I think butterflies are beautiful no matter what shape they are in!! This one is stunning and I didn't even notice the tails were gone!!! I was just looking at that beautiful yellow and black! Awesome details and lighting!!
