They finally opened the road I usually walk in the morning (been closed while they readying it for repaving) and spotted movement in the bristly sunflowers - now mostly dried up. Got close enough to spot this lovely goldfinch feasting on the seeds of the flower head.
This is such a colorful bird. I don't think we have them around here. He found a great spot to dine. I love the composition here with the soft blue green background.
