Must Be the Neighborhood Pet

I was walking after supper down towards the steps to the ocean from the cottage when I looked over and this (I'm guessing) mule deer was just standing there watching me. I stopped and he just stood - then went back to nibbling away and slowly sauntered off. As close as I've gotten I think.
