And Yet Another Shout for Spring

There aren't many forsythia bushes in my area, but this one was growing out by the Mulberry River, planted I'm sure, by the owner who was race director and lives right there. I do love the cheery yellow.
Beautiful! My grandmother called these yellow bells and I always think of her when I see them. =)

Very nice. The botanist after whom these are named, William Forsyth, was born and grew up in the little town where we live - Oldmeldrum. There's a special plaque in his honour in the garden of the house he lived in.
