The Dancing Bear by milaniet

The Dancing Bear

This second ornament always makes me smile - this was from my granddaughter's first Christmas - she was 15 months old and had been adopted 3 months earlier from China. She wasn't walking yet but would get herself over to the tree and loved to pull that red string to make the bear dance. She started walking before they left that Christmas - glad this was down low to start with.

Sending the warmest wishes for a wonderful New Year with many many thanks for your friendship, comments, compliments and encouragement during this past year. I know I don't say it often enough, but I do look forward each night to visiting your wonderful pictures and reading your comments on what I've posted. This is a wonderful place to feel welcome.
Such a precious memory you have to go with this ornament. Childrens' curiosity and wonder at Christmas time adds to the magic of the season, doesn't it.
I'm with you on the enjoyment that it is to visit with friends here on 365! It's so special to see others' view from around the world, isn't it.

I love your family story. Festivals, when all the generations spend time together have a way of creating moments to cherish. Fav.
