Counted 15 down below the dam today - now if they will just go above the dam and to their old (accessible) spot - we always want more, don't we :) He was the closest and that was half way across the Arkansas River.
Lovely capture. These birds very briefly rest on a lake thirty minutes to the south of my house. I have always wanted to see them, but they do not stay around long enough for me to get there in time to shoot their pictures.
@daisymiller I'm lucky as they'll usually stay here until sometime near the end of January. The trick is timing to find them close enough to capture - but they're just 10 minutes from the house so I can check quite often.
