Today my husband accompanied me on a tour through the snow. Good for me, he too brought the camera; otherwise hikes like this get soon a very sporty character. Unfortunately he’s snow shoes had soon a defect, which we could not repair on spot (neither Duct Tape nor SwissTool would do the job). So we had to change from our side track to a winter hiking trail. Due to the cold and the snow, we still have been feeling to be in our own universe.
@sgianettoni Hi Susana, no te preocupes. Only his snow shoe (raqueta de nieve) has been broken, not his normal shoe. So he was always safe and warm. Thank god we were not on a big tour, and not too far away from a reasonably good track. Otherwise, it could have been very difficult, because it is almost impossible to walk in waist deep powdery snow without tools.
Ahhhh Hahahaha i didn't know that snow shoe was raqueta ...i thought it was racket ...Hahahaha always something new to learn. I'm looking forward to use my snow shoes next week :0)
I am so glad your husband remembered the camera.-The snow covered trees crate a wonderful tunnel for the lone figure. The pop of red color adds the perfect detail. Spectacular image
What a wonderland - love the tunnel effect the snow covered trees have created - you must have felt like you were the only ones in the universe for a while. Beautiful shot. Fav
What a gorgeous photo! I saw your comment about following your personal feelings about your photos each day , and I left a similar note. As we've been to Switzerland and have some friends in Bern, I look forward to seeing what your life is like there. It's certainly different from Southern California!!!
