Can you see Grassy Island in the distance, it’s only 500 meters away? No? Neither did we. The fog forbade the staff of Parks Canada (for legal reasons :-) ) to get us a ride to the island and the glimpse back to a time when British and French forces fought for control of the continent. Well,… no history lesson today,… let’s go for a hike and lissen to the fog horn.
This is very nice. The light gray fog and the red boat with a bit of black reminds me of the style of Japanese aquarelles. While the photo looks very calm there's also some tension in there; what does this boat do in seemingly open water without a man, I ask myself even if I can see the ropes/cables. Great shot.
Simple and elegant shot. The red boat adds a great punchline to the image. Now where is the occupant of that boat I wonder or do I see a thin tether line?
Love this, such an atmosphere. Shame you missed out on your visit but it provided a lovely picture. Nice to have on a wall. and a final thank you for all you did toward the weather vane shots :-)
@jporcaro Hi Joan, thanks for your comment. The boat was fixed with 3 ropes, the one from the heck is under water and the two from the bow are visible.
