I chose a hike today, that should have been a short afternoon hike. It turned out to be a trail, nobody else ever walked in a long while. And it did take us much longer then planned. At some places it was really nice and enchanting, like here, but often we really struggled to find the path, crawled over undergrowth and climbed over uncountable fallen trees. At one point it just doesn‘t make sense to turn around and you just keep walking/stumbling. And I did not care anymore about photography. The way back (loop) was better. Well we found two hand full of chanterelles, we had for dinner with risotto. So we are happy enough, and richer in one adventure.
Love the greens!
Mona I can relate to your story because I did this last year where the same thing happened to us.................it just didn't make sense to turn around so we just kept struggling along! And I too did not care about taking photos anymore, I just wanted to get to the top of the mountain so we could go back down another way! LOL
What we thought should take us 1 hour took 3 hours!
The picture shares a pleasant rocky forest ambiance. I like the combination of light and shadow, and the great splash of bright green in the front. I also like the narrative.
