flash of red month N°14 --> the one with a flash of red!
I took a prolonged lunch break yesterday, and went downtown Zurich, to get a flash of red picture for today, with an architectural touch. And I kept my fingers crossed, I will not be arrested in the end. Because my target was what is probably the most beautiful police station entrance hall, if not worldwide, at least in our region.
We refer to the Giacometti Hall as the “Blüemlihalle” (hall of little flowers) due to its design featuring countless ornamental flowers. Against deposit of an ID card, I could get in and visit and admire the hall in red and golden tones for a max. of 10 minutes. Of course no tripods allowed, but at least I was allowed to take pictures. This is only a little corner of the hall.
For the flash of red month, theme week 2: architecture (decorations).
That does have to be the prettiest police station in the world. Beautiful shot with the red highlight AND stayed with the theme of architecture as well.
How beautiful that is, Mona! We're all quite appreciative that you went to such lengths to bring us something so special! It's really lovely, and I love the softening edges you used on the red as well!
