Another of my interpretatiosn of the second "flash-of-red-2023" week “Found Objects Art”.
A glass of currant jelly from my husbands Grandmother (MIL), brought to his mother, as gift when he was born. My MIL never touched it (not out of sentimentality), and I found it a couple of years ago in the cellar, fortunately soon enough to hear the story behind it. And it sits on my shelf now. It is dry, but I think it would still be ok to eat. I love to have a thing from my husbands family made with love, even if it wasn't appreciated at the time. I do!
The porcupine quills, are from to different places. I have a couple of them, so I do not remember which one is from where. Alaska, Canada, Thailand??? One I found in Ontario, just a second after I said, "here it smells like porcupine" and voilà I found a quill (never seen the porcupine though), the other one I spotted in Alaska after a lil' porcupine made me jump, making me drop my camera. Haha, in the first moment I thought a bear.
