Last week, I went hiking in the mountains with my Mum. Unfortunately, my Dad couldn’t join us because he’s wheelchair-bound now. However, whenever the weather allows, we embark on an adventure of our own too. Today we took a massive ‘hike,’ had a picnic, played boccia and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of nature.
That looks like a big 'hike' for your dad! I was thinking I had overdone it with my dad on Saturday, as we had to walk through an uneven field (the temporary car park) to get to the gardens we were visiting. However we both made it! There were a lot of obstacles for him though, steps up and down, drainage ditches, little bridges - it was an effort in concentration for me to keep him on the straight and narrow around the gardens. Glad you managed to get out with your dad. Precious times.
