Yes! You read right... this is a real Sonic Screwdriver!
Its light doesn't open doors for me or start computers, but when I pull it apart, it does have screwdriver bits in it to use, and it's made of steel to keep it from being broken.
It was expensive and well worth the layby I think. Dad thought I wasted my money, but being a Whovian, I thought it was great to finally have one of these puppies in my hot little hands!

@wendyfrost Thank you! Aaahh... a Whovian is a person who follows 'Dr Who' shows and movies; and mainly they come from a long line of family members who have done the same.
My Grandpa was the first who followed The Doctor (as he's known on the show) when it started out as a radio show, then it went onto television and he became obsessed with it. Then my Uncle Allan watched it, then Mum did and then when I moved out of home, I did for some years. I don't watch it so much anymore, but I do love the gadgets. :D
