.....I've got to find something to do while waiting for my girl to finish her fiddle lesson.
When she finished we had a chat about the cassette tape and previous items (8 tracks & records/vinyl). She thought it was an odd item and did not quite understand about the 2 different sides.
I'm sure my next vehicle will not have the option of a tape deck player, but that's ok as I don't have any more than this one. :)
Haha I remember putting music on the tapes and listening to them all the time in the car, it drove my mom crazy, hearing the same music all the time ;) Fabulous shot! Love how the blue stands out!
Oh, wow. I used to buy vinyl and play them only once; to record onto cassettes. I ditched the cassettes sometime in the late '80's or early '90's, in favor of CDs. Now, I get CDs from the library, rip them to MP3 format and transfer them to my iPod. I don't know how much room is on the iPod, but I currently have over 1300 songs on it. It plugs into a USB port in my car, and plays through the stereo system.
I wonder what will be next?
Love your post and other people's comments. My husband is still a vinyl addict and we listen to our records of Motown, Beatles,Stones, Eurthymics etc , etc very often. Recently Alona had a party whilst we were away and the twenty somethings were fascinated!
I'm glad to have stirred some old memories for you all. It was great to read your stories too. My car is 11 years old and still in great shape, but I'm not sure I'll be using this to listen to my music in the future. Thanks and have a great day!
So funny to see this! We were reminiscing about this in Sunday School this past Sunday...we have some who hold to old vinyl and love the sound. I'm with Bill (above) that I'll put my music on digital format...so much easier to carry!
Love the fact that you still play cassettes (or cassette). Nice colour too. Sold all my LP's (about 600) a while ago but I don't regret it as they took up a lot of space. Fav.
