Our fellow 365er Peter @peterday is doing a whole series of sayings and he is up to #34. He was my inspiration for this shot. I hope you like it Peter. :)
@novab When I first started, this was one of the sayings I would like to use, however I did not think I could get a bird to perch in my hand. I thought about photo merge on Photoshop, but no good. I have no idea how you managed to do this Nova, but it is a feather in your cap. Come keyboard to keyboard with me. peterday1@googlemail.com
@peterday I'm glad you like this shot Peter and it is 'real' (as Mona mentioned in your project), just a little tweaking in lightroom to adjust the white balance. There is a park with trails in Dartmouth, where people go to feed these little birds by hand in winter (and all year). It is such an amazing & heartwarming feeling to have them land on your hand for a quick bite to eat and fly off again. You have to be very still and have lots of patience to get this shot. :)
How nice to know that this is real! It must be very sweet to have one of these cuties on your hand. Quite difficult to get a photo holding the camera with one hand though! fav
What a sweet shot Nova and I love how the bokeh highlights the little chickadee! We have been able to feed the chickadees as well, mainly in the winter.
Thanks to you all for your lovely comments and favs. I could not have captured this shot without the help of my girl. She was more than happy to help on this day. :)
