Dunrobin Castle by okvalle

Dunrobin Castle

Dunrobin Castle is a stately home in Sutherland, in the Highland area of Scotland, and the family seat of the Earl of Sutherland and the Clan Sutherland. It is located 1 mile north of Golspie, and approximately 5 miles south of Brora, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. (Wikipedia)
I had to cheat on the date since the horse in a field picture is taken on the same date. I just wanted to show both pictures.

Not that i know how castels look in Norway, but this didn't seem to match. It looked more like 'Merlin' or 'Arthur'. You had me on this one 😀

Superb shot of a gorgeous building and estate.

@monikozi we don’t really have many castles in Norway, so going to Scotland was a treat. Not only visited castles, but even slept in one. :)

@monikozi Carbisdale castle was at some point a youth hostel. I brought a group of youngsters to stay there for a night. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbisdale_Castle
