Thumbnail Challenge- 5

Halfway Down

Halfway down the stairs
Is a stair
Where I sit.
There isn't any
Other stair
Quite like
It.
I'm not at the bottom,
I'm not at the top;
So this is the stair
Where
I always
Stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up,
And isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery,
It isn't in the town.
And all sorts of of funny thoughts
Run round my head:
"It isn't really
Anywhere!
It's somewhere else
Instead!"

A. A. Milne

5 is my halfway step to 10.
Nicely done Ann

My favourite number - and a really smart one! I know we only have to go to 7 for the challenge but think I might carry on to 10 (0) in my 2nd album just to finish it...

July 14th, 2012
Shaping up nicely! I may have to try this series stuff some month - cool concept and looks so cool!
July 14th, 2012
Love the simplicity and pov of your "five!" And how beautifully it goes with A.A.'s poem. He's always been a favorite of mine ... just because he says so much with such few words. Great capture. Also want to thank you, Ann for the support you've given me on taking b&w photos. It's really given me pause and have to take a whole different approach to my picture taking.

@cimes1 Thank you Carole! It just seemed to be stuck in my head that that was what I should post for 5.

@mrssmith Thanks Carla!
@lesphoto Thanks Leslie! There's always one going on- at least one and sometimes more. They are fun when you find one that interests you. I find that they help steer me in a general direction so that I don't have to think about "what I'm going to shoot today".
@karenann Thanks Karenann! I'm glad it was an encouragement to you. I lean towards color too, but I've really come to like all modes of shooting thanks to 365!
@wenbow Thanks Wendy! Wow- you're an excellent photographer for a 5 year old (hehe)!
@netkonnexion Thanks Netkonnexion!
@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! I know with Boy Scouts you can go as high as Eagle Scout. I can't remember what it is with the Girl Scouts, but did you reach that?
July 15th, 2012
