Second day of the 30 second challenge had me noticing a late bloomer in my backyard. My friend gave me a lilac bush cutting in the spring and it has taken root and blossomed! Of all the shots I took in 30 seconds, this was my favorite because it really features the color.
I have never seen a lilac with orange on it! They were a favorite in Wyoming but I have never been able to make them grow here. Excellent shot for the 30 second idea
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @shirljess Thanks Shirley! @lyoungs1023 Thanks Elizabeth! @allie912 Thanks Allison- I think it's just the fact that it was transplanted. @mrssmith Thanks Carla! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! I guess we could say "better late than never" @wenbow Thanks Wendy! @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! I think the brownish/orange flowers are ones that have bloomed and died but just haven't fallen off yet. @daisy Thanks Kathryn! @lyno Thanks Lyn! Sometimes when I'm stumped for ideas I play this little game. I walk into a room, or choose an object and time out 30 secs. to shoot as many photos of that as I can. It's designed to get you quickly thinking, and not spending a lot of time stuck on the composition. I take it at all times of the day and night. @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry!
@sangwann Thanks Dione! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! I will check it out. I am feeling so overwhelmed right now catching up with this and that. But Peter is such a great photographer and great supporter...I'll try! @prttblues Thanks Bev!

@alia_801 Thanks Alia!
@cimes1 Thanks Carole!
It was such a surprise to see it blooming in August! And I'm so glad the deer don't seem to be interested in the blossoms or bush.
@potsbypam Thanks Pam!
