Thank you to one and all! I must apologize for the blanket thank you as I'm trying to stop in and look at so many missed projects tonight! I'm glad you all enjoyed the mixture of reds- it's certainly an interesting combo and it makes me wonder why the maintainance crew didn't paint the whole thing!
@olivetreeann Question... just purely curious, but did you not like my photos between 8/8 and 8/14? I noticed you didn't comment on them. It's okay if you didn't like them. You don't have to like everyone. I hate my mushroom but that was the only shot for that day. It's kind of ugly.
@prttblues I'll try to go back to view those for you- that was part of the week I was away I think. I have been trying to do at least 4 shots for everyone, and 7 for my faithfuls, plus reading and responding to all the shots I'm posting to catch up and it's a bit overwhelming. I thought I'd be caught up by now but I had the opportunity to earn some spending money cleaning this week, so I took it.
@ruthmouch Thank you so much Ruth- this one is sooc with a vignette added. I rarely crop in post processing, so I pay a lot of attention to composition when shooting. @cimes1 Thank you Carole! @zandme Thanks Tasha! Thank you for that nice compliment. I really try to be aware of my surroundings since I started 365. You never know when a picture will present itself to be taken! @tanja_1211 Thanks Tanja!
You're so welcome. may I take the time to tell you how surprised I was to find so many comments for me just now. I know it takes time to do them all but I'm happy to have received them..I think this is the second best part of posting pictures knowing that they are appreciated. thank you so much.
it's funny how our minds perceive things differently. well, i'm known in my family for looking up the skies and seeing doomsday. in any case, this is something that partner and i have would have disagreement every now and then. he wouldn't see the 'beauty' our eyes pick up in such mundane things. in one of our drives, i saw a rundown barn surrounded by acres and acres of beautiful grapevines. i wanted him to stop so i can take a photo and he told me there's no artistic merit in it. if my camera was a gun i'd have shot him right then and there.
@bruni You are welcome Bruni! I was supposed to be able to comment while I was in Boston, but my friend's laptop decided not to cooperate, so I became hopelessly late in posting on everyone's shots. When I came home I decided to give at least 3 to each person who's commented on my shots, and more to those faithful such as you, who comment all the time. But my goodness, I didn't realize I'd accumulated so many followers!! So, it has taken more than a week to get caught up and then, I still have posting and commenting to do on the current shots! Phew!!
@summerfield lol Vikki- you can shoot him with the camera!
@summerfield - I so identified with your comments about how one person can see beauty and another (namely our partners) can't! My husband has no poetry in his soul whatsoever, only the tv remote which is stuck on Sky Sports... I hope you didn't really mean you would have shot him, but I do get infuriated and frustrated by my hubby's total lack of interest, understanding or patience...
We all walk around with our camera eye peeled for the beauty we find! Btw, I often miss people's shots as they are in a different time slot so of course don't comment! I am just happy to see anyone on my shots!
@olivetreeann - hahaha! that's what i did at the time, then he told me i was "wasting film". tee-hee! he could never understand that the SD card can be limitless. it always kills me everytime he says "wasting film".
@jackie8 - your husband and my partner must have been woven from the same fabric. this one here is a sports nut through and through. but in fairness, he scouts photo opportunities for me during the week and he drives me there during weekends. the drawback is he thinks he's director steven spielberg, 'shoot from here, shoot this way'. and he gets pissed when i say i can't see it, he forgets i am a lot shorter than he thinks. hahahaha! and no, i won't really shoot him with a gun. when i stay quiet, he easily gets the message that he's in trouble. men! :-)
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie! And I think everyone's partner/husband/better or other half goes through the "misunderstanding" phase now and again. Even my husband who's quite supportive most of the time will complain if he thinks I'm on here too much. I just sigh and remind him there are things he is passionate about too and that he should go do them! @maggiemae Thanks Maggie- yes I often miss many of you "down south" (of the equator) because of the time difference. @summerfield@bruni Should we start an ink blot look-alike challenge ladies?
