@allie912 Thanks Allison! I remember the beginning of this "movement" in the 70's. I used to buy note paper made out of recycled paper. @maggiemae Thanks Maggie! I did like the pop of blue- and that's our recycling bin! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @digitalrn Thanks Rick- oh I don't mean that recycling is not important. It's just hard to find recycling symbols that have pizzaz!
@httpgeffed Oh dear- well, you have a medical excuse then. The only thing I have is the "blahs"! Although, as of this afternoon, I am the proud owner of a Smiley Face thanks to a certain photographer I know in MN.
@pandorasecho Well, I would think the infinity symbol is harder to find than a recycle symbol. My problem is not in finding them, but that they are typically quite boring and so are the pictures I'm taking of them!
I like this recycle symbol with the little tree :) In my house we recycle more than we throw away. We had to get a second recycling bin off the council because we didn't have room in just one :)
Thank you all! Yes, we recycle quite a bit in our home too, so there's been no shortage of symbols, but I find them not as creatively challenging as I'd hoped. But thank you all for your supportive comments. They mean a lot! I think I'm in a bit of a "mourning slump" right now, but it's part of life and loss and "this too, shall pass".
@anazad511 Thank you Ana- my father passed away in May. It was a blessing in disguise as he was in stage 4 of Parkinson's Disease and also suffered from pulminary fibrosis. But of course even though you are glad that someone is no longer suffering, you do miss them and some times more than others. These feelings will always come and go, but I sometimes do not recognize that the "slump" I'm in is from this right away. I couldn't figure out on Tuesday/Wednesday why I just felt so blah. Woke up this morning and realized, "Oh! I miss Dad- that's why!" I'm sort of coming out of it now, and will probably be back to my old self by tomorrow. It's better to just walk through the feelings than to deny them and it does help in remembering that Dad is in a far better place. Thank you for your thoughtfulness- it is also a great help and encouragement.
@olivetreeann - Thanks for sharing your feelings. Yes, I remember when you father passed away, but I thought it was another lose in your family. It is very interesting but people mourn in different ways and at different times, so you have all the right to feel down some days. It's a process that the only way to heal is through time. It's good that you remember that your father is in a much better place. I am sending you a hug that hopes gives you some comfort.
@daisy Thanks Kathryn! I chose this out of desperation and I haven't really been happy with most of them- I liked last week's shot the best. One more week to go.
@la_photographic Thank you Laura! Not really crazy about this symbol, but I couldn't come up with anything better, so that's about all I can say about that!
@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi! I've long been a believer in recycling. I don't think my photos of the logo have done much for the cause but everyone seems to have liked them!

We are also a two bin family - just for the two of us.
Good for you to promote recycling - and get your symbol
