Same September 20

A variation on the recycle symbol. Sure wish I'd picked out something a little more interesting for this challenge!
But such a worthy cause!
September 21st, 2012
it keeps us on track, though! The blue is good!
September 21st, 2012
Very cool

When it comes to something so important, we can't be picky.
September 21st, 2012
Oh dear I hurt my back and didn't find one today. Ugh!
September 21st, 2012
@allie912 Thanks Allison! I remember the beginning of this "movement" in the 70's. I used to buy note paper made out of recycled paper.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie! I did like the pop of blue- and that's our recycling bin!
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick- oh I don't mean that recycling is not important. It's just hard to find recycling symbols that have pizzaz!
September 21st, 2012
@httpgeffed Oh dear- well, you have a medical excuse then. The only thing I have is the "blahs"! Although, as of this afternoon, I am the proud owner of a Smiley Face thanks to a certain photographer I know in MN.

You've done good with your symbols. We think they are everywhere, until we try to find them.
September 21st, 2012
Yes I was seeing infinity symbols all over then this week forget it.
September 21st, 2012
@henrir Thanks Henri! I've found them, it's just that they're kind of boring! But I only have to do one more!
September 21st, 2012
@pandorasecho Well, I would think the infinity symbol is harder to find than a recycle symbol. My problem is not in finding them, but that they are typically quite boring and so are the pictures I'm taking of them!
September 21st, 2012
it's a tremendous eye opener for me: that the recycling symbol actually comes in so many formats, and that what makes your symbol interesting.

Bev
It's a good reminder that we need to recycle so I'm glad you chose it! Great shot! :)
September 21st, 2012
You have done a terrific job Ann!
September 21st, 2012
Better than having to find something new to shoot....!!!!
September 21st, 2012
Great capture.
September 21st, 2012
I like this recycle symbol with the little tree :) In my house we recycle more than we throw away. We had to get a second recycling bin off the council because we didn't have room in just one :)
September 21st, 2012
I like it better with the tree.
We are also a two bin family - just for the two of us.
Good for you to promote recycling - and get your symbol
September 21st, 2012
Very typical, we all need to be reminded and educated. Well done!
September 21st, 2012
Your doing well with this one
September 21st, 2012
I am all the way for recycling. Great shot.

@summerfield @prttblues @ruthmouch @filsie65 @sangwann @alia_801 @cdonohoue @jackie8 @bkbinthecity @anazad511

Thank you all! Yes, we recycle quite a bit in our home too, so there's been no shortage of symbols, but I find them not as creatively challenging as I'd hoped. But thank you all for your supportive comments. They mean a lot! I think I'm in a bit of a "mourning slump" right now, but it's part of life and loss and "this too, shall pass".
September 21st, 2012
@olivetreeann I'm sorry, I didn't know you were in mourning. Sometimes we don't see all the pictures or read all.
September 21st, 2012
@anazad511 Thank you Ana- my father passed away in May. It was a blessing in disguise as he was in stage 4 of Parkinson's Disease and also suffered from pulminary fibrosis. But of course even though you are glad that someone is no longer suffering, you do miss them and some times more than others. These feelings will always come and go, but I sometimes do not recognize that the "slump" I'm in is from this right away. I couldn't figure out on Tuesday/Wednesday why I just felt so blah. Woke up this morning and realized, "Oh! I miss Dad- that's why!" I'm sort of coming out of it now, and will probably be back to my old self by tomorrow. It's better to just walk through the feelings than to deny them and it does help in remembering that Dad is in a far better place. Thank you for your thoughtfulness- it is also a great help and encouragement.
September 21st, 2012
@olivetreeann - Thanks for sharing your feelings. Yes, I remember when you father passed away, but I thought it was another lose in your family. It is very interesting but people mourn in different ways and at different times, so you have all the right to feel down some days. It's a process that the only way to heal is through time. It's good that you remember that your father is in a much better place. I am sending you a hug that hopes gives you some comfort.
September 21st, 2012
Very nice I like this :-)
September 22nd, 2012
Amazingly creative....love the look and texture. Take care, Ann & hugs.
September 22nd, 2012
@vposey Thank you Vickie!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole!

@anazad511 @cimes1
Feeling much better today- thanks for the hugs!!
September 22nd, 2012
This is a very interesting symbol Ann and I think you have captured a great shot.
September 23rd, 2012
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! I wish they'd been a little more exciting. Well, maybe next week's will go out with a bang.
September 23rd, 2012
Good shot! I am finding the same symbol the hardest part of the same September challenge.
September 23rd, 2012
@daisy Thanks Kathryn! I chose this out of desperation and I haven't really been happy with most of them- I liked last week's shot the best. One more week to go.
September 23rd, 2012
Great shot.
September 24th, 2012
@la_photographic Thank you Laura! Not really crazy about this symbol, but I couldn't come up with anything better, so that's about all I can say about that!
September 24th, 2012
worthy cause
September 29th, 2012
@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi! I've long been a believer in recycling. I don't think my photos of the logo have done much for the cause but everyone seems to have liked them!
