@karenann Thank you Karenann! I'm battling a migraine tonight and about to sign off. I think I overdid the cleaning today! Will catch up on your album later.
We have these in some of our rooms too! I'd love to have one on at the moment, but the girls are out so it wouldn't be a good idea... Soooooo hot and sticky here right now - bleugh!
Thank you to all! Sad news last night- Christopher's recruiting trip was cancelled as he no longer needed to meet with the player on Long Island. But he and Betsy promised to bring Isaac out during Spring Break, so we'll look forward to that happening soon. But yes, I'm a bit bummed today even though the migraine is gone.
@allie912 Thank you Allison- it doesn't pay to get angry or too sad, so I'll put my energy into looking forward to the visit (and putting my house back together tomorrow. I'm still too achy from yesterday today!)
Nice shot! I am trying to figure out how to get a ceiling fan moving with my new camera! I haven't figured that one out yet. This is a cool shot. Love the motion. Sorry the visit didn't work out. Soon, though!
@joreasonable Thank you Jo! lol Ceiling fans are mundane, aren't they!? @cimes1 Thanks Carole- I tried to take a wide variety of subjects. That was a challenge in itself! @eudora Thanks Diane! That little dose of sympathy means a lot! @prttblues Thanks Bev! I know you have a better version of what I have, so I know your camera can do it. This is what I do on mine- I set the ISO at 80 which is the lowest my camera will go and then shoot. My ISO is located on the outer ring of the FUNCTION/SETTING button on the back of the camera. I would assume yours is similar that way- but basically what you want to do is put the ISO at a slow setting- 80 or 100 will be the best, 200 might also work but anything higher that will take the shot in stop action mode. Have fun playing!
@summerfield Thanks Vikki- actually no. He wasn't home when I took the shot, but the fan actually runs while we have the wood stove on. The setting reverses the air flow- so it's not blowing on us, but up into the cathedral ceiling which forces the warm air to flow back down and throughout the house. So he wouldn't think it was strange at all that the fan was on- he'd expect it to be on.
@tanja_1211 Thank you Tanja- I take that as high praise coming from you as I admire your beautiful shots too! I have to be honest, in my first year I was frustrated that I couldn't always go out and take beautiful landscapes or shots of interesting places- but once I got over my imagined limitations, I discovered that within the four walls of my home there are some pretty amazing things to photograph too- if I just have the eyes to see them!

@pflaume Thanks Lisa! That's why I left that in there.
