The Rhododendron bush behind Judy's house is starting to flower. The camera naturally over-exposed this one- I didn't! But I did add the soft focus around the edges.
Ah, lovely! I'm wondering if our one surviving (of three ) rhodies will flower this year -- it's always a surprise to see what is growing (in Michigan) after being away for 9 months.
I like how the camera chose to lighten this, very nice! Would love to have a rhododendron in my garden but our weather conditions would not be suitable. It would need far too much pandering to ensure survival!
@taffy I hope they did survive Taffy- they are pretty hardy. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! @salza Thanks Sally! They are pretty sturdy, but are usually in the cooler climates as far as I know. @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! I'm always looking for a slightly different angle. @pflaume Thank you Lisa! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! @sangwann Thanks Dione! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @roddy Thanks Suze! I like the straight on shots, but just wanted something slightly different for this one. @jesperani Thanks Jennifer! @kerristephens Thnaks Kerri! @jackie8 Thank you Jackie- lol I'm definitely not a pink girl when it comes down to it! And the interesting thing is that the bush is really more lavender- but the sunlight has altered the coloring. @chrismarfil Thank you Chris. The sunlight has lightened the color considerably. I could have worked on the photo until it was more of the lavender color of the plant, but liked it this way so it stayed this way. @rachelmackenzie Thanks Rachel! @henrir Thanks Henri! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @mrssmith203 Thank you Carla! @lfrans Thank you Liane! @daisy Thanks Kathryn! @rach_who Thank you Rach! @dakotaburns Thank you Donald! @masosy Thank you Kate! @eniaral Thank you Laraine! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @smithak Thank you Smitha! @potsbypam Thank you Pam!
Thank you to one and all! I'm glad you liked this one- I liked how the camera reacted to the light and color.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! I was really surprised when the camera automatically shot this in high key. Usually I have to adjust the exposure to do that.
