Eggs

A friend from church has chickens and found out how much I love fresh eggs. He brought us a dozen today! I can't wait to make omelettes!
They look too nice to break. enjoy your omelet.

Yum! Fresh eggs are the best. A lady at our old church used to sell fresh eggs to raise money for missionary trips. They were so good. The eggs she sold were a greenish blue.

Thank you Lisa and Bruni!

I was fooling around on the processing here and actually lost the green color of the lighter colored egg- oops!

oh, that would make a really wholesome omelette. the last time i had omelette made of fresh eggs, which i actually caught coming out of the hen's what is that called? was when i was in high school and we had a little chicken that we feed with a special kind of feed to make it lay eggs. very nice processing, as usual, ann!

The processing in this is wonderful Ann. It takes the lowly wonderful egg and makes it art!

You are really in an 'arty' phase at the moment. As Taffy says, you have turned something so everyday into a work of art.

Nice shot, Ann! I like how you processed it. It has an old painting look to it. Almost like something you'd see hanging in the kitchen of a farm! Well done :)

Back in the day, my parents had a flock of chickens… There is nothing like an egg fresh from the chicken.

Lovely processing. We raised chickens on my childhood farm. Fresh farm eggs taste the best!

Oh Nicole that would be such fun!

Thanks to all!! Yes, I've been having fun with the processing lately- but mostly because I take the shot and I can see it as a painting- so that's how I process it. This however was somewhat of an accident as I was trying for something that looked more like a wood-cutting! LOL I didn't even come close!

@archaeofrog Thanks Katie! Actually the lighter egg is really a pale green- I don't know what I did to make it turn brown, but somehow I did it!

The processing is really interesting on such a simple subject matter. It makes the eggs look really unexpectedly flat and like they will fall off the frame. Cool!
