Thank you so much for your views, comments and favs! I've been really busy lately but promise to catch up over the next few days.

@golftragic @kjarn They are small "pads" the sit on top of the table so you can put a hot plate, pot or bowl on top of the table without burning it. They can be made out of a number of different materials- tile, cloth, even straw. This one was made by my granddaughter Leigh and it's woven strips of cloth. You're seeing the upper right hand corner of it in this shot.
