The facade of a building covers up what's inside. For the most part, it's a positive construction. But architectural facades can also hide illlicit and illegal activity too. Then they become a negative construction. And the same could be said for personal facades as well. Interestingly, the facade (both personal and architectural) of someone in our community was exposed this week, when the local paper revealed he neglected to disclose income from a less than honest business he owns. While running errands today, this solid, sturdy brick wall reminded me that although some facades give the illusion of being impossible to penetrate, it really does not take much to bring them crashing down.
@dmariewms Thank you Marie! I thought it was interesting that you photographed bricks today too. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri. I saw it coming out of the store and knew instantly it was the picture for the theme. @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen!
Oh this happens sooften and we do not even realize it. We had several Barber Shops in our area that were finally closed down after they were found to be a cover shop for drug traffic.
@cimes1 Thanks Carole! I was strolling through some of the other shots. I don't know if I'll be chosen for the top photo, but that's not why I do the themes. I just like the challenge of coming up with something I would do with someone else's subject choice. It pulls you out of your "usual" style shot and heightens your obsevational skills I think.
