K is the eleventh letter in the English alphabet and it comes in quite handy for a number of important designations. If you like diamonds, a lower case k with a small 2 next to it stands for karat. If you like dollar bills, an upper case k with a 1 next to it is slang for 1,000 dollars. If you're into science and upper case k with a 2 next to it is a symbol for the element potassium. If you're a teacher of young children, you might use a K to stand for kindergarten. And if you're one who likes to read the Bible, you might use 1K or 2K to designate two separate books in the Old Testament. But if none of these uses of the letter K suit you're fancy, I'm sure you use this fabulous letter at least once a day when you're agreeing with someone, O.K?
Guess what? I really didn't arrange them. I was baking and had gotten out the measuring spoons and casually tossed them on the counter. That's how they landed! Well, I did straighten out the tablespoon just a bit. But they really did land like a K.
Oh that is very clever! :) I've been seeking out a 'k' all week but still no luck... Hopefully I'll spot something this evening, otherwise I'll have to resort to writing or something! Your idea is brilliant!
@mrssmith Thanks Carla! This was one of those letters I was worried about, but then I happened to be measuring out some cinnamon for oatmeal in the crockpot and voila! There it was. @karenann Thanks Karenann- oh I wanted to get a real pretty one for you, and I looked and looked for days! But in the end and by happenstance the domestic side won out! Glad you like it! @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! @woot You are too kind Davide! @melorac lol right back at you Karole-oops- Carole. @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! @rhubbard Thank you Rich! I so appreciate that! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! This wasn't really imagination, it was just seeing what fell open before my eyes. I didn't know how I was going to find a k, and then when I was cooking, I took out the measuring spoons and put them on the counter, not really thinking about it and ta da- there was a k. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! Yes, it's hard to believe but they were an engagement present and now are classics. Where did the time go?! @annaruth Thank you Anna! And so are you!!! @prttblues Thanks Bev- I hadn't really planned on this but when I saw how they landed on the counter, I knew it was meant to be. @glendq Thanks Glenq! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! I hadn't really planned on this. I'd taken them out of the drawer to measure out some cinnamon and sort of tossed them on the counter top and they fell in the shape of a k- I just had to straighten out the tablespoon since it landed closer to the teaspoon.
Thank you all for the great comments- they mean so much to me! I've been working on a big project for church, but now that all the editing and such is done, I'll get back on track with your shots. Thanks for being patient with me as I catch up (again!!).
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi!
@sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry!
