Z

The A. B. C. or Alphabet Song is one of the best known English versions of nursery rhymes used to teach children the pronunciation of the alphabet. The song was first copyrighted in 1835 by Boston-based music publisher Charles Bradlee with the musical arrangement being attributed to Louis Le Marie, an 18th century composer. Le Marie, however, took his melody from a piano piece by Mozart, "Ah, vous dirai-je, maman". But you may more readily recognize it as the same tune for "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".

All that being said, I've reached the end of my alphabet proper, so I shall conclude with a line from our famous alphabet song: Now I've learned my A B C's, tell me what you think of me!

Three bonus days to follow!
I love this idea and the way you have implemented it! Beautifully done.

Ann, how interesting. I've always wondered about why the two songs sound alike. This is Z end and you did great & the information you provided was very educational. Now you need to give us a pop quiz ;-)

@summerfield Thanks Vikki- you know I didn't even see those droplets until I uploaded. I had gone out to run errands and drove past this house on the way home to take the Z shot. I pulled over on the side of the road and of course I'm sitting there in the car zooming in on the fence when all of a sudden I realized if the people in the house saw me they might freak out as if I was casing the joint! So, I zoomed, focused took two shots to be safe and got out of there quickly! lol
@cimes1 Thank you Carole! Your question is... lol

Bev
Z-is alphabet is now complete! Great job!! You captured all the letters in such a great way. You saw letters where I wouldn't have normally seen them. Thanks for taking me on the journey of finding the alphabet anywhere you look! Congratulations on a job well done! Next challenge you should do numbers! LOL
February 27th, 2012
..and now I know my ABC, next time won't you sing with me. Congratulations on reaching the end of this challenge. You have done so well Ann.

@mrssmith Thank you Carla!
@eudora Thank you Diane!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I want to do a collage of the whole alphabet, but Picnik does not have one that has the correct boxes for 26 letters, so it looks like I will have to do the numbers to make the collage. That will be this afternoon's project- rummage through household stuff for 0-9.
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole!

Thank you all- this has been a fun challenge! I'm glad you all enjoyed it so much.
February 27th, 2012
Excellent 'z'! I thought I'd got one earlier but it didn't work so have to keep up the hunt!
February 28th, 2012
@alia_801 Thanks Alia- well, I shot 3 different Zs and was trying to avoid this one since it wasn't a really spectacular finish to the challenge. But when they were all uploaded, this one looked the best. So, this is the grand finale. You'll find one, I'm sure!
