Well, after a day of running up and down stairs, dusting, organizing and assorted odds and ends at Judy's house, I still had an errand to run on the way home. But my diligence was rewarded. I not only saw an awesome rainbow that stretched from one end of the sky to the other when I came out of the store, I also caught a beautiful sunset on the way home! I shot this at a traffic light so it's a bit blurry in spots, but the reflection of the sun's final rays on the clouds was just too pretty not to post. As for the rainbow, that may show up here too, but my camera really couldn't do it justice. It will always remain a better picture in my mind!
@jojo2009 thank you Joseph! @tara11 thanks Tara! I processed this in BeFunky and used one of their "classic" frames. What I like about their frame options is that you can make them transparent as I did with this one. It's a little bit like a mirror frame, but not completely.
@chrismarfil Thank you Chris! It's not as amazing as one of yours, (mostly because my camera is zoomed to the max here and it doesn't have a great zoom) but it was a lovely bonus to the day and quite beautiful to see it when I left the store. @salza thanks Sally! @dmariewms thanks Marie- yes, the rainbow was in front of me and this was behind. It really was awesome. @filsie65 thanks Phil! Yes, it was funny- people coming into the store were talking about the rainbow, and there I am leaving the store taking pictures of it in the parking lot! It wasn't until I'd driven past the building to head home that I saw the sunset- and thankfully I came to a red light so I could take shots of it! @sangwann thanks Dione! @peterdegraaff thanks Peter! I think they were an after effect from the rain that afternoon. @digitalrn thanks Rick. That softness is probably due to the zoom on the camera. It has a tendency to "fuzz" things out at its maximum range. @nicolecampbell thanks Nicole- I processed this one in BeFunky. I like that you can fade in or out most of the frames. So I made this one more transparent which allowed more of the picture to show.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! This was another thing I discovered when dabbling one time. I noticed that many of their frames had a pull down tab similar to those they put on the effects: normal, overlay, multiply, screen, substact, invert, etc. So I started playing with them to see what happened to the frame when you use those particular settings. I also noticed that you could adjust the opacity on the frames as well (you could keep them opaque or you could make them more transparent). The more transparent frames have the same feel as the mirror frame, but if they have some detail, it adds a nice balance to the shot- and that's what I did here; normal setting, increased transparency of a "classic frame" but keeping that detail of the inner "mat".
@olivetreeann - it's great! i just played around with a very simple shot and i'm impressed and in love with befunky! i think ribbet just put on a drawer. i hope to capture something on my way from or to the doctor so i can start using befunky. thank you, ann, much appreciated!
