Bird Tracks by olivetreeann

Bird Tracks

After our Christmas Eve snowfall I discovered some bird tracks around the feeder on Christmas morning. I love the pattern they've made.
Very cute. What types of birds come to your feeder?

@wadazomo Thanks Dave! I have quite an assortment! Tufted Titmouse, White-Breasted Nuthatch, Black-Capped Chickadee, Downy Woodpeckers, Hairy Woodpeckers, Red-Bellied Woodpecker, Carolina Wren, Bewick's Wren, American Goldfinch, Cardinal, Blue Jay, Mourning Dove, Chipping Sparrow, House Finch, Dark-Eyed Junco, and American Robin. We also have birds we frequently see (or hear) in the woods behind us as well- American Crow, Pileated Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Great Crested Flycather, Western Wood Pewee, Screech Owl, Northern Goshawk, and Red Shouldered Hawk. American Bald Eagles have also been spotted in our area recently which is very exciting. My husband saw one the other day, but I haven't seen one yet. I've also had Northern Oriole, Veery, Brown Thrasher, Yellow-throated Vireo and Eastern Bluebirds stop by for a visit when they're migrating or on their way to feeding grounds at a near-by river. Needless to say my bird feeder is a source of endless entertainment- especially when the squirrels get in on the action and I have to "train" them not to climb the pole by greasing it! And of course when it is hanging out in the summer the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds love the hummingbird feeder! One of my dreams is to eventually have a camera which I will be able to take better pictures of them- but that's a ways off right now!

@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!

Fantastic capture. I have not succeeded yet at getting a shot of bird footprints. You not only captured the footprints, but also did it in an artistic way.
