I love the subject. The motivation is good. In my opinion, this is one time I think photo would have appealed to me more if there wasn't as much processing.
@grammyn I believe you were the one who posted this first somewhere on your project. I wrote it down on a sticky note and stuck it in my calendar. After fidgeting with this picture and finally settling on this processing it popped into my head. So I just had to add it.
@randystreat I fussed and fussed with this- cropping, trying sepia, trying color, trying black and white, texture, no texture, and finally because I was literally falling asleep at the keyboard posted it like this. Today, when wide awake, I went back and did a "plain" version which I'm going to post on Saturday so that it will show up below this one on the monthly calendar. I agree- it looks better without the processing. (o:
