Boys in the Snow by olivetreeann

Boys in the Snow

I sent the boys out to play into the snow today. As you can see Isaac couldn't wait to build a snowman!

The moment I applied the watercolor effect in BeFunky to this picture tonight I knew I had to post this shot. It reminds me so much of "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats, which was one of my boys' favorite books when they were young. So sending their boys off to play in the snow like one of Keats' illustrations seemed so appropriate!
This is so cool, Ann! You should print it and frame it!

Isn't it wonderful how you can create art so easily? You have to have the appropriate original to start off with and this is gorgeous!

@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth- that fav means the world to me!! Yes, the little reddish spots are leaves on the Oak trees.
@glendq Thank you Glendq! Oh you made me smile with the pocket comment!
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! It was a nice shot of the snow in the woods and then I remembered the "boys" would work well with it. The merged shot looked nice, but I decided to play around with it in BeFunky before I posted it. Well, the rest as they say, is history!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki- that fav means the world to me!! I was thinking of you as I sent the boys off into the woods. But the effect in BeFunky just brought back a flood of memories!
