As per the request of Maggie and Carole- a full shot of my lovely little white bowl, a gift from my sister this Christmas. I was going to save it for a few days, but then I was afraid I'd forget to post it!

Thank you Ladies! Yes, this one is a keeper. Don't tell her but last year's (which was more modern) didn't really appeal to me. I didn't really like the colors of white and purple. But this one is right up my alley!
What a lovely set! I am glad you posted the whole thing! It's such a lovely gift! What's in the bowl? It looks like it might be potpourri but I bet I'm wrong. Whatever it is, it's a brilliant photo. And it's lovely! Nice job!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! Well, it's not potpourri, but that's what the watercolor effect did to it. It's actually a beaded necklace my friend JoAnn made. When I opened it at Christmas a few of the beads were loss and I put it in the bowl and it's been there to this day! @digitalrn Thank you Rick!
@eudora Thank you Diane! I've been exploring the aspect of "painting" the original back in on certain spots of a photo after applying an effect. It does have some interesting results when you add detail this way.
@sangwann Thank you Dione! @jesperani Thank you Jennifer! At first I was going to take the necklace out- after all it had been put in there because I was too lazy to find a proper spot for it, but then I thought it would add a bit of interest so I left it in there. @bruni Thanks Bruni! The necklace was another gift this Christmas. I've been procrastinating finding a home for it.
can you do that - apply the "painting" effect on just a certain portion of the photograph? this came out rather nice: the cup and saucer are so dainty and classy and i also thought it was potpourri in it. beads? no one could've guessed! great shot!
@summerfield Thanks Vikki- yes you can, it's just like painting the color from the original shot back into a b/w you're doing selective coloring on. But you can only do it on the effects that have the little paint brush.
@cimes1
This one's just for you two!!
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
