Walter measures the distance so that he'll be able to drive the tractor at the correct spot. It has a piece attached which will pierce the plastic and then a plant will be inserted in the hole.

The grands are arriving tonight! I'll be back in a day or two.

@grammyn I'm sorry but I don't remember what they were putting in here. Maybe lettuce? The plants had been started in a green house. I'll post a picture of the next step later in the week. Maybe we can tell from that picture.

@grammyn Oh, it's not a burden! I just can't remember as we saw several crops there. I think the rows next to this one were some sort of beans- but those you can easily tell because they need something to cling to.

So interesting to see. at the closest farm we drive by at times we see backbreaking Chinese people laboring.
