Our drive down to Kentucky was filled with intermittent downpours, traffic, and cloudy skies. Nevertheless we pressed onward! After all our grandsons were waiting for us!! It's a 12 hour drive from our home to theirs, so we try to break it up with a stop or two along the way. This shot was taken in Maryland overlooking an area that was important during the Civil War. I can't remember the details now, but I think General Lee marched through here at some point. Although it was overcast, the valley was still green and the house near us plus the church in the distance popped with color.
Thank you Connie, Wendy, Henri and Katy!
