We were visiting friends this weekend and I noticed the tree in their front yard was a really striking color. I asked her what kind of tree it was and was surprised to learn that it was a Crepe Myrtle. I've seen them here on 365 but usually pink or fuschia. This one really stood out against the blue sky.
hah! when we were in jacksonville, we saw a lot of this as almost all houses and parks have them. nobody could tell us what it was called then i recalled seeing a similar one from a former 365ers' album and i (very confidently) said it was crepe myrtle. we went to church and the church grounds were teeming with this tree and the grounds keeper was quite impressed. thank heavens for 365, and the things i learn from it and because of it! wonderful pov, very nice, ann.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! I know- I was looking at it and thinking that it was a Crepe Myrtle but the color was throwing me off as I'd never seen such a red color on the them. It was a beauty.
