i thought they're immune to their own ticks! we have lime disease alert here in ontario, seems like the deer population in the parks have substantially risen and some people who'd been on picnics had flea bites and had been diagnosed with lime disease. pity! but your bambi here is looking cute. nice!
Do deer get fleas? I always wonder when I see them scratching like dogs. I guess they could get mites. This is a cute on of the fawn. They're so limber.

I'm not sure if deer get fleas, and if memory serves me correctly lime disease is caused by tick bites, not fleas. Nonetheless, it's always best to have some sort of bug repellent on in this neck of the woods when you're wandering around in the woods taking photos.
